Our Mission

To reconnect young people with nature through music and the technology they use every day, capturing sounds, making instruments from natural materials, and creating music outdoors to support creativity, wellbeing, and a lasting connection to the natural world.

What We Do

Woodland Orchestra

Turning the outdoors into an orchestra — children record, build, and create music in nature using iPads, natural materials, and ukuleles.

CPD Training

Training teachers to deliver engaging outdoor music experiences using iPads, natural materials, and ukuleles.

Woodland Orchestra

The Woodland Orchestra is a creative outdoor learning experience where children explore nature through sound, music, and imagination. Set in outdoor spaces, pupils are invited to listen closely to the world around them, discovering the hidden rhythms, textures, and voices of the natural environment. Children take part in hands-on activities including sound recording in nature, creating simple instruments from natural materials, and making music together using ukuleles alongside found sounds. They experiment, collaborate, and perform as a group, turning the outdoors into a living orchestra. The experience encourages curiosity, creativity, and careful listening, helping children see nature as something they can interact with, respond to, and express through music.

CPD Training

The CPD training for teachers is designed to give educators the confidence, skills, and inspiration to deliver engaging outdoor learning through music, sound, and nature. It is practical, hands-on, and rooted in real classroom and outdoor experiences, showing how creative learning can take place beyond the traditional classroom setting.Teachers explore simple, adaptable activities such as sound recording in nature, using natural materials to create instruments, and introducing music-making outdoors with accessible tools like ukuleles. The training also demonstrates how these approaches link directly to the National Curriculum, supporting music, alongside metal health and well being. By the end of the session, teachers leave with ready-to-use ideas, renewed confidence, and a deeper understanding of how outdoor spaces can become powerful creative learning environments.
